Located on Buffalo’s waterfront in the revitalized Canalside district, KeyBank Center is Western New York’s premier sports and entertainment facility. Serving as the primary home of the National Hockey League’s Buffalo Sabres, KeyBank Center is a state-of-the-art venue that plays host to the world’s best concerts, ice shows, sporting events, and family shows, entertaining audiences of all ages.

Since its grand opening on September 21, 1996, more than 24 million people have attended the wide variety of events held at KeyBank Center.

KeyBank Center is also home to the National Lacrosse League’s Buffalo Bandits, and has hosted high-profile sporting events such as the 1999 NHL Stanley Cup Finals, the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship First and Second Rounds, the NCAA “Frozen Four” Division I Men’s Ice Hockey Championship (in 2003 and again in 2019) and much more. KeyBank Center has also hosted the 2011 IIHF Under 20 World Junior Championship in December 2010, the 2016 NHL Draft, and UFC 210: Cormier vs. Johnson 2 in April 2017.

The IIHF Under 20 World Junior Championship will be returning to Buffalo in December 2017.

Some of the biggest acts in music have also performed at KeyBank Center, including Paul McCartney, Garth Brooks, Kanye West, Lady Gaga, U2 and Bruce Springsteen.
